GeoOptics is solving some of the hardest problems in Earth observation and remote sensing. Using our highly reliable LEO constellation and data processing platform, we are continuing to develop revolutionary remote sensing technologies for rapid deployment on our growing fleet of satellites. Our world is rapidly changing, and people across the planet need timely access to the most accurate information possible. Our mission is to deploy a constellation of satellites that provides comprehensive, near-real-time data and advanced analytics that convey the state of the Earth’s atmosphere, surface and sub-surface. We have a contract with the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to provide atmospheric data using Global Navigation Satellite System Radio Occultation (GNSS-RO), which represents the first time a private company has provided commercial satellite data for use in U.S. National Weather Service forecasts. We are also working with other government meteorological agencies in Europe and around the world.
We are led by scientists and engineers who trained and worked at major research institutions, and our culture is derived from those experiences. We are marrying our commitment to research and development with low overhead and a rapid development and deployment cycle in order to innovate in Earth observation, weather and space weather. We are committed to ensuring that our data is accessible and freely available for research, and our employees are encouraged to maintain active roles in the research community.
If you are an engineer or scientist frustrated by the slow pace of development in government-agency-driven projects, we want to hear from you. If you are developer or data scientist bored by the types of problems you are asked to solve in industry, we want to hear from you too. And we are excited to hear from exceptional recent graduates, who bring new ways of looking at old problems. We know that small, focused teams of exceptional scientists and engineers are the only way to solve tough, multidisciplinary problems. So, our team members must have both depth and breadth: They come from a range of experiences and are often some of the leading experts in their fields but are also excited to develop new expertise.
We are growing fast, and have significant opportunities for career development and growth.
GeoOptics is committed to having a diverse workforce.
